These are the pictures that I took for Matt’s fruit bowl assignment a year apart. The one on the left is from 2018 and the one on the right is from a few days ago. Looking at these images side by side should show how much I’ve grown in my abilities over the past year but I think it shows a regression. When I took the first photo I was at a point where I was taking photos almost every day and learning new techniques and new equipment every week. The second photo is after only about three months back into taking photos on a semi-regular basis and I think it’s really obvious. When I flunked out of this program last summer I didn’t touch my camera again for months afterwards because I hated taking photos, and I was also mad at myself for failing, and it really shows is the second photo how out of practice I am.
